You can run the calendar manager under OpenWindows on your Sun workstation. Select ``Calendar Manager'' from the OpenWindows Workspace->Programs menu. To run the calendar manager from another X-Windows machine, run ``xhost +rumble'' on your X server, telnet to rumble, run ``setenv DISPLAY yourmachine:0'', and then run ``/usr/local/openwin_3.0/bin/xview/cm''. Double-click on a day in the calendar to add an appointment. If you have a Sun on your desk you can keep the calendar data there; otherwise select calendar manager's Edit->Properties window, select the Display Settings Category, and enter your Default Calendar as ``user@rumble''. user is your login name.

If you do not have routine access to an X-Terminal, you can still add and view appointments with the calendar manager. Telnet to a UNRSL Sun, and run the cm_insert and cm_delete commands to add and delete appointments. You can read the on-line manual pages for these commands for complete details. If you had a staff meeting on June 30, 1999 from 9:00-9:30 AM in LME 322D, you could add it to your calendar with:
